Welcome to Rural Insights - Highland

Here in the Highlands of Scotland, we have enjoyed many years working with European and international partners on community led rural development projects. We have also welcomed many visitors interested in sharing that experience.

Our study visits introduce visitors from the UK and all over the world, to Scottish rural development practitioners, administrators, projects and beneficiaries.  Each study visit provides a unique combination of case study visits, meetings, presentations and ‘classroom’ learning.

As a former European Union Objective 1 designated area, the Highland regional experience of working with EU funding, should be of particular interest to programme and project managers from the all new countries who joined the EU in the last few years. 

Rural Insights which is based in Fortrose on the Black Isle can also help you share our experience through individual, transnational and joint project support services which help organisations, businesses and community groups reap the benefits of partnership working.  We cover everything from initial project idea development, right through to final monitoring and evaluation.

Business Consultancy is another service offered by Rural Insights.  For over 20 years we have worked in this field and we would be happy to discuss your needs in more depth on a one to one basis.  Evaluation Studies, Training and youth entrepreneurship development are just a few of the services we specialise in.
